About the programme
School Breathe CIC has been awarded National Lottery Community Fund funding to bring The Breathing Hub to Monmouthshire — a free, weekly community programme launching this September. We'll gather every Wednesday from 12 to 1pm to breathe, move, create and connect.
No experience needed. No referral, no charge. Just an open door and time to be with yourself and your community.
"The Breathing Hub is not a class. It's a space — somewhere to land, to slow down, and to remember what it feels like to simply breathe."
The programme brings together an exceptional team of practitioners — each a leader in their field — to deliver free, expert-led sessions rooted in the five-pillar philosophy of School Breathe: breathwork, gentle movement, creativity, audio and deep relaxation woven together with the science and education of breath.
What happens in a session
Every session is shaped by the five-pillar framework that has underpinned School Breathe's work with thousands of children and staff across the UK. Breathwork sits at the heart of every session, connecting and deepening the benefits of each pillar.
01
The science of breathwork — learn a technique and understand why it works.
02
Practical breath techniques to support and settle your nervous system.
03
Art, journalling and creative expression — breathe and move creatively.
04
Bespoke audio, storytelling and community connection to deepen the practice.
05
Deep relaxation and guided practices to embed breathwork into daily life.
Who's leading sessions
Joining founder Aimee Hartley is a remarkable group of wellbeing experts — each a leader in their field — united by the belief that when people feel good in their bodies and connected to one another, everything can change. More names will be announced in the coming months.

"We have always believed that wellbeing should be accessible to everyone — and The Breathing Hub is our way of making that real. Born from the incredible results we have seen bringing breathwork into schools, it felt only natural to open those doors to the wider community. But this is about so much more than breath. It is about movement, creativity, human connection and the simple power of spending time together. I am so proud to be bringing together such an exceptional group of practitioners — with more names still to be announced — all united by the belief that when people feel good in their bodies and connected to one another, everything can change. To be doing this in Monmouth, with the support of the National Lottery, is a genuine gift to our community."

Our philosophy, in your community
At School Breathe, we have always believed that breathwork is not a luxury — it is a life skill. For years we have been bringing that philosophy into schools, working with children and young people to build real tools for calm, connection and resilience.
The Breathing Hub is us taking that same ethos out into the wider community. The same warmth, the same accessibility, the same belief that when people feel better in their bodies, everything else shifts — now open to everyone in Monmouth, every Wednesday, for free.
Sessions are open to all. There is no referral, no previous experience required and no cost. Every session includes chair-based adaptations — whether someone attends every week or simply walks through the door once, they are warmly welcome.
What you can expect
Alongside the in-person programme, an online hub gives people across Wales and the UK access to wellness tips, breathing exercises and guided resources. Wherever you are, The Breathing Hub can find you. Visit www.schoolbreathe.org to explore.
Register your interest
Places are available to register now ahead of the September launch. We're building our local Monmouth list and would love to hear from you. Those outside Monmouth are warmly invited to join the online hub and access wellness tips and resources from wherever they are.
